1. What This Reference Is

Carlsbad Residents Directory is a privately operated reference for public rolls, record indexes, and directory collections concerning Carlsbad, San Diego County, and California. It does not host government records and is not affiliated with an office, court, library, or other records custodian.

2. Lawful Use Rules

Use these pages and anything reached through them only for lawful purposes. Prohibited uses include:

  • Stalking, harassing, intimidating, threatening, or harming a person
  • Using the service to locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order
  • Identity theft, fraud, or another unlawful act
  • Making an FCRA-regulated decision about credit, employment, tenant, or insurance matters
  • Scraping, copying, or republishing the pages at scale
  • Disrupting the service or attempting to defeat its security

3. No Consumer Reporting Agency

Carlsbad Residents Directory is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Neither the material here nor results from a linked search tool are consumer reports, and neither may be used to decide eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose covered by the FCRA.

4. External Services and Links

County and state portals, library resources, archives, and third-party services, including sponsored search tools, set their own terms and policies. Carlsbad Residents Directory is not responsible for an outside service’s content, availability, price, or data practices.

5. No Warranties

The service is supplied “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. No promise is made that a page is accurate, complete, or current, or that a linked portal will remain available or return a correct result.

6. Liability Limits

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of these pages or a linked resource, including a decision based on a record found through them.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold the operators harmless from a claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, that results from your misuse of the service or breach of these terms.

8. Intellectual Property

The original writing, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Linking to a page and quoting a short excerpt with attribution is welcome. Reposting full pages or systematically copying the content is not.

9. Changes to These Terms

A revised version may be posted on this page. Continued use after a revision means that the revised terms are accepted.

10. Restricting Access

Access may be blocked or limited for a user who violates these terms or abuses the service, at the operators’ discretion and without advance notice.

11. California Law

California law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The California Public Records Act, or CPRA, is codified at Government Code §§7920.000–7931.000 and governs requests made to state and local custodians for identifiable existing records. It does not make this private reference a government agency or a custodian of those records. Other California privacy, court, and criminal laws may also govern the official source and the lawful use of information, including the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act where applicable.

12. Severability

If a provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
